About Know-How

Within Track, You can find the purple ‘i’ information icon next to every milestone, you will see the pop-up below broken down into 3 sections:

  • Overview - Giving you a quick overview and general information about this stage 

  • What Happens Now - Tells you about what happens during this stage, what documents you may need to have ready and anything to keep in mind to keep your house move progressing. 

  • What Happens Next - This gives you an idea of what happens in the next stages and things you can do to get ahead.  

For the home buyer / seller

All of this is to help the home buyer / seller better understand what’s going on and why in a platform that they can access whenever they want. Without overloading them with too much information at once. This has the added benefit of reducing the number of repetitive enquiries where property professionals may explain the same thing to different clients multiple times a day. 

Know-How is also available in a standalone searchable directory (https://app.adoor.co.uk/knowhow/), so if home buyers/sellers want to know what a particular term means (i.e. Easement) or what happens at a particular stage (Instructing a Conveyancer) it’s there when they need it. 

 
 

Why we built Know How

We built Know How as we all know that buying a house is one of the 3 most stressful things we do. Alongside there now being c. 400,000 first-time buyers each year and others moving on average every 10-12 years - You can understand why many home buyers / sellers won’t be familiar with the process. 

When buying a house is also the single biggest purchase we’ll make, it’s no wonder home buyers/sellers want to chase - As currently, it’s easier to track your Deliveroo than your house move!

But also worth noting that Property professionals are busier than ever, managing 50+ cases at a time and receiving 1-2 calls per case per day and the additional steps required for legislation and regulations. Movers can likely begin to see why there may be delays to calls/emails!

We know that many of these calls are common queries either requesting an update or something a property professional may explain multiple times a day to different clients. So with Know-How, we know we can help make this more efficient, movers get the answers to common questions about their move when they want on the adoor app, and professionals get more time back with fewer enquiries and also improved customer relationships.
